Attorney Matt Shaw served as the child support attorney for Kane County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office from 1987 to 1995. Mr. Shaw opened his own law practice concentrating in family law in 1991. In 2000, he co-founded the law firm of Shaw, Jacobs, & Associates, P.C. in St. Charles, Ill., which concentrated its practice in family law, including dissolution of marriage, financial issues, and custody litigation. In 2016, Matt reopened his own law firm Shaw Sanders, P.C.

After attending the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, Matt received his Bachelor’s degree from Illinois College, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Northern Illinois University College of Law and became a licensed Illinois attorney in 1986.

Matt has a proven track record of successfully representing clients in Illinois courts with his extensive trial experience. He has also served as a Mediator and Guardian ad Litem in Family Law cases, in addition to resolving numerous cases outside of court. As a legal author and lecturer, Matt has served on several family law committees including the ISBA Family Law Section Council. He has authored and published articles in the ISBA Family Law Newsletter and authored the first chapter of the Illinois Family Law Handbook.

Attorney Deidre C. Sanders earned her law degree from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago and is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Kane County Bar Association. Deidre is also a Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Guardian ad Litem.

Attorney Noely Alicea-Muñoz received her law degree from Northern Illinois University College of Law. During that time, Noely was a member of the 2016 NLLSA Moot Court Team and interned at the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office and NIU’s Zeke Giorgi Legal Clinic.
