Patrick M. Collins

Kane County Family Law Attorney Patrick M. Collins

While growing up in Belvidere, Illinois, Patrick knew that he wanted to go into a career where he could serve the public. In furtherance of that goal, he attended Arizona State University, where he obtained a degree in public service and public policy. While at Arizona State, he worked in the Arizona Legislature for two sessions, and also served as the Director of Civic Engagement for the University's downtown campus. For this commitment to service, he was honored with admission to the Lincoln Scholars Program. He then went to law school at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he focused his studies on constitutional law and civil litigation.

While in law school, he spent two years clerking for the Cook County Court System, where he wrote draft opinions for judges. Patrick then spent two years in personal injury before making the leap to family law. He continues to focus his work on motion practice, legal writing, and obtaining the best results possible for his clients.
